Uluwatu’s food scene has changed fast. A decade ago this was surf shack territory — a few warungs, cold Bintang, and whatever was fresh from the market. Today, it’s one of Bali’s most exciting places to eat, with everything from authentic French bistros to clifftop fusion and beloved roadside warungs that’ve been feeding the neighbourhood for 25 years. We’ve put this guide together so you don’t waste a single meal. Distances are from our gate on Jalan Raya Uluwatu No. 243.

LOCAL WARUNG · THE REAL STUFF

1. Yeye’s Warung & Gift Shop

One of Uluwatu’s most beloved institutions, and for good reason. Yeye’s has been serving the neighbourhood on Jl. Labuansait for over 25 years — a buffet-style setup where you build your own plate from a rotating cabinet of Balinese and Indonesian dishes. Think crispy tempeh, spiced fried chicken, gado gado, satay, and the silkiest turmeric rice you’ll find anywhere on the Bukit. Everything served on a banana leaf. It’s been called the best nasi campur in Uluwatu, and we’re not going to argue.
